Spencer Ogilvie

Spencer is our Head of Multi-Sport, bringing over 30 years of experience developing young athletes across a wide range of disciplines. An award-winning coach, he was recognised as Grassroots Coach of the Year in the women’s football pathway, reflecting his impact on player development and inclusive coaching environments.

Originally beginning his journey in cricket at 16, representing Lancashire County and progressing into early coaching roles, Spencer has since evolved into a highly versatile coach. Alongside his cricket expertise, he holds a UEFA B Licence in football and is also a qualified fencing coach, giving him a unique, well-rounded perspective on athletic development.

Spencer’s coaching philosophy centres on the importance of multi-sport exposure at a young age. He places strong emphasis on building fundamental movement skills such as coordination, balance, agility, and reaction time—key foundations that underpin success in any sport. His sessions are designed to be engaging, dynamic, and fun, ensuring children not only develop physically but also build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for sport.

Through his holistic approach, Spencer supports young athletes at the very start of their journey, helping them explore different sports while developing the core skills that will benefit them for years to come.
