Greg Cackett is one of Great Britain’s most successful bobsleigh brakemen, with 17 World Cup medals since joining the programme in 2016.

A key member of the GB1 crew, he helped secure historic results including World Championship silver in 2023 — Britain’s first 4-man medal in 84 years — and the nation’s first ever European Championship gold the same season.

A triple Olympian, he has represented Team GB at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, with a best finish of sixth.

Originally a sprinter, Greg clocked 10.24 for 100m and competed against the likes of Usain Bolt before transitioning to bobsleigh, where his speed made him a consistent force on the World Cup circuit.

He now brings this elite-level experience into coaching, working with children and young athletes and leading our Power, Speed & Performance programme to develop the next generation.
